FAQs
Short answers to the questions people ask first. If yours is not here, contact support and a person will read it.
The account
What is Squiryl?
Squiryl is a personal data account. You keep important information and documents in one place, use them yourself, and choose if any of them are shared.
What is a Squiryl data account?
It is an account for keeping personal information useful. The Vault stores your records. The rest of the account helps you find those records, reuse them, and put selected information to work only when you agree.
Is Squiryl a bank?
No. It is built to feel as careful as a bank account: people are verified, and your Vault stays private. Squiryl does not hold your money as a bank, and it is not a data-broker catalogue.
Who is Squiryl for?
People who want one private place for the records life keeps asking for, such as identity, health, property, vehicles, finance and lifestyle details. Organisations use a separate partner route, and they never get a browseable copy of your account.
How much does Squiryl cost?
The personal data account is free to start. Partners pay when your participation creates value. Ordinary use of your own Vault does not cost you, and it does not automatically earn you money.
How do I get access?
Leave your email on the Keep me posted page and we will contact you about access. You can also open the Squiryl app if you already have it.
Do I have to verify my identity?
Yes. Everyone is verified before the account is fully open. Identity checks help keep fake accounts out of the network. A partner still cannot browse your Vault because you passed those checks.
Your Vault
What is the Vault?
The Vault is the private store inside your account. It holds the records and documents you choose to keep, organised so you can find them again.
What can I keep in my Vault?
The things you are usually asked to prove or look up: identity, health, property, vehicles, finance and lifestyle records, plus the documents behind them.
Can I upload documents?
Yes. You can add documents to the Vault and keep them with the records they belong to. Uploaded files are removed if you delete your account.
Can I search for a detail?
Yes. Search is there so a policy number, date or other detail does not stay buried in old emails, downloads and screenshots.
Does Squiryl track important dates?
Yes. The account can surface dates and tasks from what you keep, so renewals and other deadlines are easier to see in one place.
Can Squiryl read what is in my Vault?
No. Personal Vault data is encrypted on your device before it reaches Squiryl. We store the encrypted result and cannot read your Vault.
Can I use the Vault without sharing anything?
Yes. The Vault is useful on its own. Sharing, matching and marketplace participation are separate choices. Declining them does not take the Vault away.
Privacy and sharing
Do partners get access to my Vault?
No. A partner does not receive a browseable copy of your account. A match is not permission to look through your records.
What does a match mean?
A match checks permitted information against a declared purpose, without opening your Vault. The partner receives the contracted outcome. Extra details need a separate request and your approval.
Can I see what I am agreeing to?
Yes. A request should show its purpose, what is involved, and how long it lasts, before you approve it. You review the result or the selected details before anything extra is sent.
Can I decline a request?
Yes. You can decline an opportunity or a request for more details. Saying no does not expose your Vault, and it does not remove the private use of your account.
Can I stop an ongoing permission?
Where a permission is ongoing, you can stop future activity that Squiryl controls. That cannot retrieve information already delivered to an approved recipient, which is why the request explains its scope and duration first.
Do you sell my data?
No. We do not sell your Vault, and partners cannot buy customer profiles or a catalogue of personal records.
Who can see something I approve?
Only the recipient of that request, and only the contracted outcome or the details you approved. Approval for one purpose is not approval for every future use.
How is my information protected?
Vault data is encrypted on your device, then encrypted in transit and at rest. Sharing is a separate, visible choice. You decide what is shared, with whom, and for how long.
Rewards
Does every use of my information earn money?
No. Private account tasks, ordinary checks and some service interactions have no reward. Eligible opportunities state the action, the terms and the reward before you choose.
How are rewards split?
When your data creates value through an offer, a survey, or a partner using your likeness to target advertising, you receive 80% of the distributable revenue. Squiryl receives 15%, and 5% goes to charity. That split does not apply to every use of information or every type of partner revenue.
Do I have to take part to keep my account?
No. You can pass on any opportunity. Your Vault stays yours either way.
Where do I see rewards?
Eligible rewards are recorded against the stated terms of the opportunity and shown in the app, including what is still pending and what has cleared.
How do I withdraw?
Cleared rewards can be withdrawn to PayPal from the app. You sign in to PayPal to confirm where the payout goes. The app shows the amount, any fee, and any minimum before you confirm.
Signing in and recovery
How do I sign in?
Open the Squiryl app and sign in with your account. Where your device supports it, you can use a passkey. If you cannot use that, the sign-in screen can fall back to a one-time code.
Can I lock the app with Face ID or a fingerprint?
Yes, on a device that supports it. In Settings, turn on Unlock with Face ID or fingerprint. The app then asks for that, or your device PIN, before it opens.
How do I change my password?
In the app, go to Settings, then Security, then Change password. Your PIN, recovery code and trusted contact are in that same Security section. Passkeys and an authenticator app are under Authentication.
What is a recovery code?
A recovery code is a way back into your Vault if you lose access. You manage it in Settings. Keep it somewhere only you can reach. Squiryl will never ask you to send it to us.
What is a trusted contact?
A trusted contact is a second way back in if you lose your recovery code. You choose that person in Settings. They are not given a copy of your Vault.
I cannot sign in. What should I do?
On the sign-in screen, tap Can't sign in? Contact support. That form works without an account. You can also email support@squiryl.com. Do not include your password, PIN, verification code or recovery code.
Account and support
How do I contact support?
Email support@squiryl.com, or in the app go to Settings, then Support, and choose Send feedback, Report a bug, or Contact support. The in-app form includes your device and app version. We aim to reply within two working days.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings, then Account, then Delete account, and confirm with your password and your second factor if you use one. If you no longer have the app, email deleteme@squiryl.com from the address on the account. The steps and what we erase are on the account deletion page.
Can I cancel a deletion?
Yes, until the deletion date. Sign in again before then and cancel it. We email you once the deletion has finished.
Can deleted Vault data be recovered?
No. Deleting the account destroys the keys that decrypt the Vault, so Squiryl cannot restore those records. Active sharing contracts are cancelled, and partners are notified.
What do you keep after I delete my account?
Only what the law requires, and none of it can rebuild your Vault: a record that the deletion happened, and hashed identifiers used to prevent fraudulent re-registration. Uploaded files are removed immediately. Encrypted backup copies expire on a 90-day storage lock.
How do I report a security problem?
Email support@squiryl.com before you tell anyone else, and we will work with you on it. Please do not include passwords, PINs, verification codes or recovery codes.
What are my data rights?
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal information, and you can ask for a portable copy or withdraw consent. Requests are answered within 30 days. Email privacy@squiryl.com, or read the Privacy Policy.
Who runs Squiryl?
Squiryl is a trading name of Wizdat Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 16736562. The registered office is 3 Crewe Road, Sandbach, England, CW11 4NE. Partnership enquiries go to partners@squiryl.com, and legal enquiries go to legal@squiryl.com.
